Germany vs Spain

The Euro 2008 final DID repeat itself and so, Germany's dream of becoming the champion of 2010 World Cup is shattered. Well, that's okay. Germany has appeared a lot of times in the World Cup finals. Now is the time to give someone else the chance. Spain has NEVER made it to World Cup finals and Holland's last appearance in World Cup finals was back in 1974, where they lost against Argentina.

The German team congratulating the Spanish team

I think Germany's game against Spain was badly played. Both teams didn't perform. They were focusing more in defending, rather than attacking or scoring. But, Spain got lucky when they got the corner kick.

Disappointed German team

Where were the German heroes? They didn't stand out like they should. Where was Podolski? Where was Klose? I know Müller was sitting in the audience wishing he was on the field.

The German team is not going home just yet. They still have one game to go, against Uruguay, to grab the 3rd place. 3rd place will be like World Cup 2006 all over again, but it's good enough. The game will be aired on Saturday 20:30 in Germany and Sunday 2.30 am in Malaysia.

We're proud of you

So, who will win the title this year? Germany lost to Brazil in 2002 World Cup final and Holland managed to beat Brazil in this year's quarter-finals. Can they do it against Spain? The final game will be a day after Germany's game against Uruguay. We'll have to wait and see.
