Germany vs Argentina

With four goals and none in return, the Germans have sent the Argentine home and booked themselves a place in the semi-finals.

Bye Maradona

The guy has done it again! At as early as the 3rd minute, Thomas Müller headed the ball by Bastian Schweinsteiger into the Argentine goal, giving the German team a lead in the game. Sadly, not long later, he was given a yellow card for a hand ball. This is his second yellow card, which means he will miss the semi-finals.

During the 2nd half, Miroslav Klose got lucky, when the Argentine cleared their goal, giving him way to score with ease. He didn't even have to kick the ball. All he did was running with the ball towards the goal.

What an easy goal!

The next goal was a surprise to everyone, even the scorer. It was accidental that the defender, Arne Friedrich, kicked the ball passed by Schweinsteiger into the Argentine goal. It is his 1st goal in his 10-year career as a national football player.

The final goal was scored shortly before full time. It was a team effort and the man who scored it was Miroslav Klose again, making it his 4th goal for this World Cup.

4 is definitely Germany's lucky number for this year's World Cup. They scored four goals against Australia, England and Argentina. Both Thomas Müller and Miroslav Klose have scored four goals for the team. The Germans are also one of the four teams to make it to the final.

The next game will be against Spain on Wednesday 20:30 German time and Thursday 2.30pm Malaysian time. I hope Euro 2008 final won't repeat itself. The German team can do better than that.
