Germany vs England

The Germans have done it again! With four goals, they have sent the English back home and securing themselves a place in the quarter finals.

At the 20th minute, Miroslav Klose went against all odds to score the 1st goal for the team. What a come back!

Lukas Podolski, who was in hiding during the last game, proved to the German media that he is not 'lazy' like they reported, when he scored the second goal at the 32nd minute.

Right after the second goal, the English team fought back and managed to score a goal. Not long after that, Frank Lampard kicked the ball into the goal, which went slightly pass the border, but it bounced and hit the goal bar, before it was caught by the German goalie, Manuel Neuer. The goal was denied by the referee. That incident has created a dissatisfaction among the English supporters and it will haunt the English forever.

The goal that didn't happen

During the second half, Thomas Müller scored two goals, one after another, in only two minutes interval, making it four goals for the German team.

There was only one yellow card given out during the game and it was for Arne Friedrich, who was messing around with English Wayne Rooney.

The game sure was a controversial one because of the denied goal. England supporters have even created a Facebook group due to this. However, if the goal was counted, the English team would lose anyway, or not?

Germany will be playing against Argentina on Saturday, 3 July 2010 at 16:00, German time and 10pm, Malaysian time. Argentina is a strong team. I don't know what to expect. Hopefully, the Germans can send the Argentinians home like what they did to the English.
